Mirwaiz placed under house arrest

Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was placed under house arrest at his Nigeen residence on Saturday afternoon.

Reports said that a team of Jammu and Kashmir Police arrived at his Nigeen residence and placed him under house detention. However, there was no immediate reason known for his detention.
