Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, along with a high-level delegation of government officials, arrived here on Wednesday afternoon on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir to review the security situation in the State.
The Home Minister was received at the Technical Airport here by Governor Satya Pal Malik, Advisors to the Governor, Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam, Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Dr Sehrish Asgar and senior civil and police officers.
Reports said that the Home Minister will review the overall security situation of the state and would also discuss security arrangements for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra.
