The death toll in Mughal road accident has mounted to eleven after seven more injured passengers succumbed, said an official.

Reports said that a vehicle on way to Shopian skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge in Lal Ghulam area near Peer Ki Gali, resulting in the death of 11 students including 9 girls and injuries to eight people.
The students were from a private computer centre at Surankote.
The vehicle was carrying over at least 20 students of a private computer centre at Surankote, said an official, adding that the rescue operation was launched immediately after the accident.
He said the injured persons were rushed to district hospital Shopian, where from eight critically injured persons were shifted to Srinagar hospital for specialized treatment.
