31 killed, 7 injured as bus falls in gorge in Kishtwar

In a major road accident, thirty-one people were killed and seven others injured after a passenger bus overturned and fell into a deep gorge in Kishtwar district of Jammu on Monday morning.

Reports said that a bus on way to Kishtwar from Keshwan overturned near Sirgwari and fell into a deep gorge. The accident resulted in on-spot death of 28 people and injuries to 11 others. The injured persons were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. Soon after they were admitted three of them succumbed to their injuries at the hospital, taking the toll to 31.

Reports also suggest that the rest of the injured persons are being treated at the hospital and are said to be critical.
