Govt Pitches In To Save Two Kids Of Family That Lost Four Members Already

SRINAGAR Chipping in to help the two injured children of a family that lost four members due to gas cylinder blast in Lagama Uri, government had announced cash compensation of Rs 8.50 lacs and also facilitated the treatment of injured in Delhi hospital.

An official of the district administration Baramulla confirmed that Deputy Commissioner on the directions of governor Sat Pal Malik visited GB Panth Hospital in Srinagar on Thursday and facilitated the referral of the two injured children of Mohd Shafi Chalko to AIIMS New Delhi for advanced treatment and also handed over a cheque of eight lakhs and a cash of fifty thousand rupees to the father of the children.

The family, reports said had requested governor for the help.

The family of Muhammad Shafi was devastated on May 27 when he lost his wife and three daughters to the burn injuries caused reportedly due to a cylinder blast in their house.
