Srinagar
National Conference on Monday held a protest rally in Srinagar demanding an end to ‘killing spree of Kashmiris’ and rollback of the government’s decision to treat J&K Bank as a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU).
Scores of NC workers, led by senior leader and the party general secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar took out a rally from Nawa-i-Subh to J&K bank corporate headquarters.
Carrying placards the party workers raised slogans against the BJP and government forces for the continuous killing of civilians in the state.
Sagar, while speaking to reporters said that a ‘war has been waged against the unarmed Kashmiris.
“Our young children are being killed. Young boys, doctors, engineers, scholars are picking arms and get killed. This is a very serious issue.” he said.
“First they attacked our financial autonomy through GST regime and now by turning J&K bank into a PSU. The people of Kashmir won’t tolerate any such attack on our autonomy,” Sagar said.
