Militants ask people to erase fencing of orchards in Shopian village

Militants on Wednesday appeared in south Kashmir’s Shopian district and asked the people to erase the barbed wires and fences of their orchards in Kundalan village of the district.

An official said that six militants riding on three motorcycles appeared in Kundalan village of Shopian and warned the orchard owners to remove barbed wires and fences of their orchards and other kinds of lands otherwise they will have to face the consequences.

“Militants also fired 10 to 12 aerial shots before leaving the spot,” the official said.
