Srinagar
Accusing state administration of giving free hand to communal and anti-Kashmiri elements AIP President and MLA Langate Er Rasheed on Friday condemned a burning of a bovine animals laden truck at Ramban.
The spokesman in a statement said that Ramban incident has exposed the biased and communal attitude of Jammu police. “There can be nothing shameful than the fact that the truck was abducted by the goons in presence of heavy contingent of Jammu police, but rather taking the truck into custody and investigating the matter, police allowed the radical “Hindu goons” to take law in their own hands and they set the truck ablaze,” the spokesman quoted Er Rasheed as saying.
The spokesman said that watching the incident with silence like mute spectators J&K police has yet again proved its critics right who would often say that it takes police no time to kill, blind, jail and humiliate Kashmiris even over minor issues. The shameful side of the story is the rather arresting goons, police lodged an open FIR without naming those who committed a heinous crime in presence of police itself and rather arrested the victims.
The governor administration must answer that why it has not acted against Lal Singh and why are Sangh Parivar goons in Jammu given a free hand to attack Muslim community. He said that fringe elements in Jammu have been given liberty to do whatever they want with the minority community, in Kashmir the police, army, and other security agencies find themselves above law and bulldozing the rights of majority community in the state seems to be part of a well crafted agenda, which the administration has been asked to implement.
Rasheed added that the burning of the truck in Jammu in presence of police is a big question mark on the credibility, neutrality and professional capabilities of Jammu and Kashmir police and the majority community feels completely alienates and let down with the shameful behavior of Jammu and Kashmir police.
