Two diversions washed away after water level rises in Kulgam

Two diversions were washed away on Friday in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district after the incessant night-long rains in the state.

Two diversions in Asthal and Ardgan DH Pora of Kulgam washed away due to the incessant rains. Even though the weatherman has predicted a significant improvement in the temperature from Saturday, increase in the water level in river Jehlum and other rivulets have triggered panic among locals.

The current water level of Jehlum at  Sangam is 13.60 feet and the danger mark is 18 t0 20 feet, at Ram Munshi Bagh water level is  8.4 feet and the danger mark is 16 to 18 feet, Asham is indicating water level 3.08 feet and the danger mark is 14 feet.
