13-year-old girl hangs herself to death in Srinagar

A 13-year-old non-local girl on Saturday committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan in Indra Nagar area of Srinagar.

The deceased has been identified as Jyoti, a resident of Amritsar Panjab. According to reports Jyoti was working as a housemaid in the house of Rakesh Kumar, son of Raj Kumar of Indra Nagar.

Meanwhile, the police have initiated an inquest proceeding into the matter.
