Srinagar
Five shops were gutted in a blaze on Monday evening in Moomin Abad court road Batmallo area of Srinagar.
He said that a single-storey shopping complex caught fire at around 7:35 pm and the cause of the fire has not yet ascertained.
An Official of the Fire and Emergency Services said prompt action by firemen saved the fire from spreading to adjacent buildings.
He said property worth around lakhs was destroyed in the fire.
Most of the shopkeepers were dealing with Automobile workshop and spare parts of vehicless.More details awaited.
