A motorcyclist was killed while the pillion suffered serious injuries after their motorcycle was hit by a police vehicle (Rakshak) at Kanipora area of Shopian district Sunday evening, reports said.
The deceased has been identified as Qasid Mushtaq resident of Aliyalpora Shopian while the injured has been identified as Adil Manzoor resident of Kanipora Shopian.
The injured was referred to Srinagar hospital in critical condition, reports said.
A Case under FIR No 253/2017 has been registered in police station Shopian. Driver of the vehicle has been taken into custody and investigation is going on, police said.
