A ten-year-old student was found unconscious with a chopped braid in Bandipora district in northern part of Kashmir on Thursday.
Ifat Farooq of fifth standard was found unconscious with her braid chopped off on the veranda of her house in Nathpora village of the district, reports said.
The family members of the girl said that the girl returned home after school around 4 pm when some burqa-clad person caught hold of her in the lawn of our house.
“I was in the fields and she was alone,” her father said, adding, “When I returned home from the field, I found my daughter unconscious on the veranda. When I picked her up I saw her hair chopped off.”
He said that Ifat regained consciousness after I sprinkled water on her face.
“Then she narrated the whole incident,” said the father.
