A man involved in cases of attempt to murder and narcotics smuggling in R S Pura has been arrested with a country-made pistol in Jammu, reports quoting officials said on Saturday.
A police team intercepted the man in Chatta and recovered the pistol and 11 live cartridges from him last evening, they said.
He was identified as Ashwani Kumar, a resident of Langrial in R S Pura.
A case has been registered at Satwari police station.
During preliminary inquiry, police came to know that he was involved in cases of attempt to murder and narcotics smuggling in R S Pura. (With inputs from Agencies)
