SRINAGAR: Police said they have arrested a bootlegger and recovered illicit liquor from Magam township of Budgam District.
During Naka checking at Magam main chowk, one motorcyclist was intercepted and on checking police recovered 14 bottles of illicit liquor from his bag.
The bootlegger was identified as Jahangir Ahmad Wani son of Mohammad Shafi Wani resident of Batpora, Kunzer.
A case FIR No. 122/2017 under section 48 Excise Act was registered and further investigation was taken up.
