A major pro-freedom rally is going on in Trenz area of Shopian district.
Locals of the area who spoke to Kashmir Life said that the preparations for the rally and all the other arrangements were going on for last 10-15 days.
“Arrangements were finalized late yesterday and the rally is going on peacefully since morning,” a local of Trenz said.

The locals put the number of people attending the rally around 20,000 who have come from different quarters of the district and its villages from Pulwama and Kulgam as well.

“Since this dawn, people started swelling at the venue. Pro-freedom slogans were boomed through loudspeakers,” the locals said.
Sources from the area said that it took days for the organizers to erect tents and make adequate arrangements for drinking water and other such facilities. “We have never seen such arrangements for a public rally ever.”
