The J&K Government authorities have shifted several Hurriyat Conference (g) leaders to Humhama Police Station on late Wednesday night.
Sources in the Hurriyat Conference said that police shifted Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai to Humhama Police Station last night.
Sehrai is deputy of Hurriyat patriarch Syed Ali Geelani and Secretary General of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat. He was under house arrest since late July 08, 2016. Ailing Geelani remains under continuous house arrest.
“It was around 11 PM on Thursday that police officials came and shifted Sehrai Sahab to Humhama Police Station,” family sources of Sehrai said, “he was asked to take medicines and clothes with him.” Sehrai is a chest disease patient.
Notable to mention here, Sehrai was grilled by National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials in Srinagar a few days ago.
Hurriyat Conference (g) sources added that Altaf Ahmad Shah and Ayaz Akbar too were shifted to Humhama Police Station last late night. Shah was under house arrest for last 54 days while Akbar was lodged in Police Station Parim Pora. His son too has arrested.
Meanwhile, sources said that personal secretary of Geelani, Peer Saifullah, continues to remain hospitalised at SKIMS Soura.
He is suffering from brain tumour. Peer Saifullah recently returned from New Delhi after going through a medical check-up following which he was grilled by NIA.
It is pertinent to mention that JKLF chief, Mohammad Yasin Malik, was shifted to JIC Humhama recently from Central Jail Srinagar.
