Hurriyat (m) Sunday said that the Hurriyat amalgam fully endorses and supports Syed Ali Geelani’s proposed ‘Million Men March’ program that runs parallel to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s November 7 programme in Srinagar.

“Better coordination among pro-freedom groups through prior consultations and organizing joint resistance programs is the  urgent need of the hour as the situation in the valley is deteriorating by the day and state-sponsored terrorism and use of excessive force on Kashmiri people and their leadership is touching new heights,” Hurriyat (m) said in a statement.

“We also extend support to Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik’s call for a complete shutdown and civil curfew in case the government resorts to its customary practice of placing bans and curbs on people from participating in the proposed programme,” the statement added.

The statement said, “the conglomerate appeals people to make the program given by the resistance leadership a success and send a strong message to the people of India and the world community that Kashmiris have not been offering sacrifices of their lives, the lives of their dear ones ,their honour and their  material wealth during the past seven decades for petty economic package but for the lofty and noble cause of securing their fundamental Right of Self Determination promised to them at the United Nations.”

“Let it be clear to all that the brave and steadfast people of the state will continue to carry on their just struggle inspite of facing all kinds of oppression and hardships until their noble mission is not accomplished.”

Notably, Muhammad Yasin Malik and most of Hurriyat (g) leaders have already  been arrested.
