Several Hurriyat Conference (g) activists were Sunday detained after they protested against the ban on seminar which the amalgam was scheduled to hold.
Authorities early Sunday imposed ban on a scheduled seminar of Hurriyat (g) – “Islam: Protector of Humanity”.
Police and paramilitary forces were put up in huge numbers in and around Hyderpora residence-cum-office of Syed Ali Geelani.
“Our activists held protests against the ban on the seminar and some of them were detained including Umar Adil, Gazi Javaid, Rameez Ahmad among others,” one of the Hurriyat (g) activists said.
