Srinagar freezes at minus 2.3, weather to remain dry till Dec 7

Srinagar

The Jammu and Kashmir meteorological department on Sunday has predicted weather to remain dry till December 7.

An official from the meteorological department said that weather is likely to remain dry till December 7. “The dry weather would continue for next one week as per the current prediction,” he said.

Night temperatures fell below the freezing point through the valley. The Srinagar city has recorded minus 2.4 degree Celsius temperature.

Qazigund has recorded minus 1.8 degree Celsius, Tourist destination Pahalgam has recorded minus 3.3, degree Celsius and ski resort Gulmarg has recorded minus 3.3, respectively.

The Kokernag area of district Islamabad has recorded minus 0.6 and Kupwara has recorded minus 1.4  degree Celsius, respectively.

The Jammu city has recorded 9.6, degree Celsius; Banihal has recorded minus 1.1, Batote 4.1, Katra 9.2 and Doda 2.1 degree Celsius.

Leh was the coldest town in Jammu and Kashmir at minus 9.3, Kargil recorded minus 9 as the night’s lowest temperature.
