Four weapons have gone missing from the residence of senior Congress leader and former minister Muzaffar Parray at Jawaharnagar area of Srinagar city in Central Kashmir.
Official sources told news agency GNS that four AK-47 rifles have gone missing from the guard room of the former legislators official residence at J-37 Govt Quarters Jawaharnagar.
“We are investigating as to how these weapons went missing,” the report quoted SSP Srinagar Imtiaz Ismail Parray as saying.
Meanwhile, reports that all the four policemen, three are from security wing and another from District Police Sopore posted at the MLCs residence have been summoned for questioning while the authorities have also ordered an enquiry to ascertain the incident.
Sources said that the former MLC is out of state since last one month. (GNS)
