Eight persons detained over ‘conspiracy to snatch weapon from policemen’

Police on Monday claimed to have detained eight militant “accomplices” based on a credible input about snatching weapons from on-duty policemen from Baramulla, Tangmarg and Srinagar areas.

The spokesman said that consequently case FIR No. 102/2018 under section 18, 38 UA (P) Act was registered in Police Station Tangmarg and further investigation was initiated in the mater.

During the course of the investigation, incriminating materials including arms and ammunition were recovered from them, the spokesman added.
