The Srinagar Jammu highway has been thrown open for one way traffic on Wednesday.
Authorities from the traffic department said that “one-way traffic will be allowed on the Jammu-Srinagar highway. Vehicles will be allowed to move from Jammu to Srinagar and no vehicle will be allowed to move from the opposite direction.”
“the small vehicles will be allowed from 06 am to 10 am from Qazigund Kulgam, this precaution has been taken keeping the safety of the travellers in mind,” he added.
Since all essentials of life are routed into the landlocked Kashmir Valley through this highway, people of the valley often go through many problems when there is no connection with other parts of the world.
