Srinagar: Multiple rounds of funeral prayers were held in Odoo village of Shopian on Thursday for slain militant who was killed during an encounter between the government forces and militants in Chaigund village of district Shopian on Wednesday evening.
The militant identified as Sameer Ahmed Wani, a resident of Odoo village of district Shopian was killed along with an associate Firdous Ahmed of Ganawpora village of Shopian, in Chaigund area of Shopian.
Besides two militants, one civilian was also killed and more than two people sustained pellet injuries.
