Minor boy injured as unexploded shell went off in Shopian village

Srinagar

A 10-year-old boy was critically injured on Thursday after a shell live exploded near the encounter site at Chaigund village of district Shopian.

Reports said that people were clearing the debris of a house which gutted following an encounter between the government forces and militants on Wednesday evening.

The boy has been identified as Musharaf Ahmed, a local resident of Chaigund Shian.

He was immediately shifted to Pulwama district hospital where from he was referred to SKIMS Soura in serious conditions.
