Srinagar
Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK)President, Dr Suhail Naik on Sunday has impressed upon the Government that the demands of National Health Mission(NHM) staff should be addressed without any further delay.
The spokesman said the government should give a patient hearing to their genuine demands and take some fruitful measures so that this long strike comes to an end.
The spokesman has quoted the Dr Naik saying “It is pertinent to mention that the regular staff is overburdened, overstretched and exhausted beyond their working capacity and if it continues like that day is not far off when the whole health system will collapse.”
“NHM services are need of the hour and they are part and parcel of the health system and due to the prevailing border tensions it has now become necessary that their services should come to play with immediate effect”, he added.
DAK appeals the Hon’ble Chief Minister to take a human approach in the matter so that their genuine demands are addressed. Moreover, DAK is ready to intermediate between the government and NHM association leaders so that this deadlock is ended with a meaningful outcome.
