Chief Minister directs transfer of Aiwan-e-Sahafat building to journalists

Director information Muneer-ul-Islam on Wednesday formally handed over the charge of Kashmir Press Club to senior journalist and President of Press Club Kashmir, Mohammad Saleem Pandit.

The Press Club designated as ‘Aiwane-e-Sahafat’ is first such government-run place for journalists in Kashmir.

“Director Information & Public Relations, Mr Muneer-ul-Islam today formally handed over the possession of the 9-HB Building at Polo View Srinagar to Mr M Saleem Pandit, President Press Club Kashmir. The building will come up as the first Aiwane-e-Sahafat in Srinagar”.  Department of Information and Public Relations tweeted.
