At least 73 civilians have been killed by forces while over 10000 civilians have been injured in forces action in last 55 days.

Reports quoting police unnamed police officials said that curfew has been imposed in almost all districts ahead of the mass congregations expected in mandatory Friday congregational prayers today.

Notably, authorities banned people from offering mandatory Friday congregational prayers in historic Jamia Masjid on last seven Fridays. Similar cases were reported from other major Masjids across Kashmir.

Meanwhile, reports coming from South Kashmir’s Islamabad district said that forces have sealed all roads leading to Dooru area of the district.

Reports said that locals had planned a mass pro-freedom rally today in Dooru Eidgah but “strict curfew is in place and people are stuck in their homes”.

“All inner roads have been blocked, there is huge deployment of forces and the rally has not been allowed,” they added.
