SRINAGAR
The chief minister, Omar Abdullah had to hear pro-freedom slogans at DC office Srinagar on Tuesday as he came out after accompanying Nasir Aslam Wani who filed his nomination papers from Amira Kadal assembly segment.
Eyewitnesses told Kashmir Life that Omar Abdullah was accompanying Wani as he reached the venue his supporters raised slogans in his favour.
However, they said as Omar came out hundreds of angry people shouted slogans against him and his government.
The angry people even raised pro-freedom slogans.
Eyewitnesses said, Omar initially tried to pacify the porters however as he saw their anger, he left the venue in hurry.
Sources said that Sanjay Saraf of LSP also faced angry protests when he reached the office of Srinagar Municipal to file his nomination papers. Eyewitnesses said that few stones were also hurled at Saraf’s cavalcade.
