Firing in Shopian

Few gun shots created panic in the Mimander area of Shopian town Thursday late evening, local sources said.

They said that people heard many gunshots when a police party was near the residence of Advocate Mohammad Yousuf Bhat who is contesting election on PDP ticket.

Sources said that after the firing a large contingent of police and Para-military personnel were seen cordoning off the area.

Details are awaited.
