SRINAGAR: Three persons including petitioner writer, security guard and sanitary worker were tested for the novel coronavirus in DC Jammu on Sunday.
“3 persons (petitioner writer, security guard, sanitary worker) engaged in the premises of the DC office complex have turned COVID +ve. The entire complex of DC office with external holding area on Wazarat road is declared temporarily as a containment zone for extensive sanitization,” Deputy Commissioner Jammu tweeted.

As of now Jammu and Kashmir have reported 17,305 positive cases, out of which 7,483 were active positive, 9,517 recoveries and 307 deaths, 23 in the Jammu division and 284 in Kashmir.
Meanwhile, COVID recovery rate in J&K touched 54 per cent on Saturday evening, as out of the total 17,305 cases, 9,517 have recovered so far.
The per million testings in J&K has reached 44,744 as against 12,742 in the country.
The overall rate of the positive cases in the UT is 3 per cent as against 8.3 per cent in the country. It is 1.3 per cent in Jammu province and 4.7 per cent in Kashmir province. Jammu and Reasi districts have recorded lowest 0.8 positivity in the UT, while south Kashmir district Shopian has witnessed the highest positivity rate of 8.3 per cent, followed by 5.3 in Baramulla.
