SRINAGAR: A truck driver was critically injured in a road accident in Hayan area of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Monday.
An official said that an LP truck bearing registration number JK03B-7737 was on way from Kargil to Srinagar plunged into Nallah Sindh when driver loss its control over the vehicle.
He said the driver of a truck sustained grievous injuries and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The official identified the injured driver as Ashiq Ahmad.
A rescue operation was immediately launched to retrieve the truck, he said adding police has registered a case.
