SRINAGAR: Kashmir Valley reported eight more deaths due to COVID-19 since last night, taking the fatality count due to the virus to 329 in J&K.
Quoting official sources news agency GNS that fresh deaths include a 60-year-old woman from Nowhatta, a 62-year-old man from Batamallo, a 75-year-old man from Noorbagh, an 85 year-old-man from Barzulla area, a 79-year-old man from Habba Kadal, a 72-year-old patient from Eidgah and a 64-year-old resident from Rangreth area of Srinagar, who was declared brought dead at Chest Diseases Hospital after he was shifted to SMHS Hospital, and a 59-year-old man from DH Pora Kulgam.
So far 306 deaths have been reported in Kashmir and 23 in Jammu division.
Srinagar district with 99 deaths has the highest fatalities followed by Baramulla (63), Kulgam (27), Budgam (24), Anantnag (21), 20 each in Shopian and Pulwama, Kupwara (17), Jammu(15), Bandipora (9), Ganderbal (6), two each in Rajouri and Doda and one each in Poonch, Udhampur, and Kathua.
