Cultural Wing of Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR), Jammu today organized a symposium and cultural programme at Dewan Badrinath Vidya Mandir school, Mubarak Mandi.
Secretary DBN School, Rajendra Kakkad was the chief guest and Principal of the School Sonika Mahajan was the guest of honour on the occasion.
As many as, 12 students of the host institution participated in the symposium and expressed their views on the topic.
Kakkad exhorted upon the students to spread the message of single use plastic ban among the masses.
Suhani Gupta of class 9th was adjudged best speaker in the symposium on “Single Use Plastic Ban” while Ridhima Arora of class 9th and Kasak of class 12th were judged second and third respectively.
Similarly, artists of Cultural Wing presented a scintillating cultural programme on the theme for generating awareness on single use of plastic ban.
Kamini Nanda, Vishu Dogra and Radhika Khajuria acted as judge in the programme while the proceedings of the programme was conducted by senior artist, Suresh Kumar.
Later, the participants were awarded prizes by the chief guest.
