Missing person traced from Uri: Police

Police on Saturday claimed to have traced a missing person from Boniyar area of Uri town in north Kashmir.

A police spokesperson in a statement said that a Police Station Panzla received a report from Gulzar Ahmad Khan informing them that his father-in-law Sharif-ud-din Gujjar is reportedly missing since April 15, 2019.

“On receipt of this missing report, a special team was constituted at P/S Panzla to trace out the missing person,” said the spokesman.

“The team headed by SHO Panzla carried out searches at different places in the area and after strenuous efforts, the missing person was traced from Boniyar Uri,” he said.

“After completion of legal formalities, Sharif-ud-din was handed over to his family members,” said police spokesman in a statement.
