Police on Monday claimed to have solved a theft case in a record time of three hours by arresting the two accused persons involved in the crime.
“Police station Tangmarg received a written complaint from Shahid Ahmad Malik son of Abdul Razak Malik resident of Katipora Tangmarg stating therein that during the intervening night of 28/29 October, some unknown persons barged into the office of the flour mill of his brother and have stolen three lacs ninety thousand rupees and a laptop from the office of the Flour Mill “Malik Aata Chakki” located at Sulendha Katipora Tangmarg,” the police spokesman said.
“On receipt of this complaint, a case FIR number 93/2018 under relevant sections of law was registered and an investigation was set into motion,” he said.
Police spokesperson in a statement said during the course of the investigation, Police zeroed in on two employees of the flour mill were brought by police for questioning who confessed that they had committed the crime. On their disclosure, stolen money along with the laptop was recovered from the dump site situated at the backside of the Flour Mill.
“Accordingly, both the accused persons were arrested in the case and further investigation has been taken up,” the spokesman said.
