Following a gunfight in Midoora area of Tral on Tuesday afternoon, clashes broke out between the government forces and people in the village.
Reports said that after a joint team of 42RR, SOG and 180 BN CRPF launched cordon and search operation on specific information in the village, the youth took to the streets and started pelting stones on the mixed contingents of forces. Pertinently, on Monday late evening militants had attacked an army camp in Midoora, however, there was no damage reported from the spot.
In order to disperse the protest, the government forces fired tear gas smoke shells and pellets towards the protesting youth. There are also reports of injuries to one civilian; however, none of the officials has confirmed the injuries yet.
Meanwhile, the gunfight in the village is going on.
