A JCB operator died after being hit by a shooting stone on Srinagar-Jammu highway in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir late last night, reports said on Tuesday.
Reports said that a JCB driver identified as Jamshed Ahmed(23), a resident of Doda was killed on Monday night, after being hit by a shooting stone after a heavy landslide in Digdol area of Ramban.
They said that the body of the deceased was shifted to hospital, where after completing legal and medical formalities, the body has been handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
An official said that the strategic highway has been restored for one-way traffic following restoration work.
