Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday seized 30 quintals of government rice and arrested the black marketer.
30 quintals of govt rice seized, accused arrested
A police spokesperson in a statement said that based on a reliable information regarding the black marketing of government rice a police party of Police Station Hajin conducted a raid on the residential house of Javeed Ahmad Malik son of Mohammed Yousuf Malik resident of Gulshan Abad Hajin.
During the search, about 30 quintals of government rice which was meant for public distribution was recovered, he said.
“The accused person was arrested and the case was registered under relevant sections of the law,” said police spokesman in a statement.
