Safai Karamchari Union holds protest in Srinagar

Casuals labours of the Safai Karamchari Union from the department of Indian system of medicine held a protest demonstration demanding regularization policy, in press colony Srinagar, on Tuesday

Scores of the employees assembled outside press colony demanding regularizing services of daily wagers including the settlement of pending pension cases, implementation of new staff pattern, release of their leave salary and consolidated paid workers and Casual Labours especially Safai Wallas.

“We have been working for 25 years and our wages are just 200 rupees,”  said one of the protestor.

Protesting employees were holding protest under the banner of ‘ All Jammu and Kashmir Safai Karam Chari Union’.
