4 dead, 10 injured as bus plunges into a gorge in Doda

At least four people died and 10 others sustained injured on Thursday when a mini bus, they were travelling in, plunged into a gorge in the mountainous Doda district of Chenab valley.

“Four passengers died and 10 were injured when a mini bus, on way from Bani to Bhaderwah, hit an ice block as the driver lost control over the vehicle and rolled down into 800-feet deep gorge near Dandi Nalla,” a police official said.

He said that police teams have been rushed to the spot and rescue operation is in progress.

“Death toll may rise and details are awaited,” he said.
