Poppy destroyed in Baramulla, Budgam, Pulwama

SRINAGAR: Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Kashmir, continues with the poppy destruction campaigns across Kashmir.

A statement issued by the government said three Excise teams headed by the Excise and Taxation Officer, North Kashmir Range, has destroyed 55 kanals of poppy in Nagrad and Krew Hama villages of Budgam district, 55 kanals of poppy in Baderwan (Suritang) village of Pulwama district and 32 kanals of poppy in Sultan Pora, Magripora and Aglar villages Baramulla district.

The Deputy Excise Commissioner said that so far a total of 2210 kanals of poppy have been destroyed in Kashmir Valley by the Excise Department.
