Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Friday, expressed grief over the tragic death of 10 construction workers in a fire incident that engulfed their residential barracks at Dalwas, near Chanderkote, early today. Four others also suffered burn injuries in the blaze.
All the deceased were engaged by a private company working on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, an official spokesperson said this afternoon.
In his condolence message, Mufti Sayeed conveyed his sympathies to the bereaved family members in their hour of grief. He also prayed for peace to the departed souls and wished speedy recovery to the injured persons.
The Chief Minister also directed the District Development Commissioner, Ramban, to provide relief to the bereaved families and ensure best possible treatment to those injured in the fire incident.
Meanwhile, Member Parliament and PDP President, Mehbooba Mufti, has deeply condoled the death of 10 labourers after a fire engulfed their residential quarters at Chanderkote, Ramban, early morning today.
All the deceased were working for a private firm and were engaged in construction work on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
In her condolence message, Mehbooba conveyed her sympathies to the bereaved family members and prayed to Almighty to give them courage to bear this huge loss. She also prayed for peace to the departed souls and wished speedy recovery to those injured in the incident.
