Militant outfit Hizbul Mujhadeen Monday paid rich tributes to the slain militant Muhammad Shafi Sheikh alias Shafi Peer alias Rashid of Zaloora area of Sopore who was killed in a gun fight with government forces on Sunday at Bhat Mohalla in Seloo area of Sopore.
In a telephonic call to Srinagar based news gathering agency, Operational Spokesperson of Hizbul Mujhadeen, Baleeg-u-Din said that Muhammad Shafi was a bold and well-trained militant who laid his precious life for Kashmir cause.
“Our Mujahid Shafi Sahab did not surrender but fought till he attained martyrdom. Hizbul Mujhadeen salutes his will and dedication and will remember and honour him always. Hizb mourn his death and pledges to take this ongoing Kashmir Freedom Movement forward,” he said.
