5 police men among 18 injured in road mishaps

SRINAGAR


Eighteen persons including five policemen were injured in different road accidents across the valley, police said on Saturday.


Eight persons were injured when a Scorpio bearing registration number Jk05B/3982, they were travelling in, skidded off the road and fell in the river Jehlum at Nowshera, Uri. All the injured were shifted to Hospital for treatment.


Meanwhile, a Tata mobile bearing registration number Jk05A/7089 hit and injured a pedestrian 80 years old Kaleem-u-Din Khan son of Mufood Khan resident of Rajouri near Batpora, in Kunzar, Baramulla. The injured was shifted to Hospital for treatment.


In another accident, a Maruti car bearing registration number Jk0101F/0196 was hit by an unknown vehicle at Darend, Ganderbal, resulting in injuries to three persons who were travelling in Maruti car. All the injured were shifted to Hospital for treatment.


A LP Truck bearing registration number Jk03C/8301 collided with a Police Rakshak at Bemina, in Batamaloo, resulting in injuries to five policemen and conductor of the truck. All the injured were shifted to Hospital for treatment.
