SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Mechanical Engineering Graduates Association (JKMEGA) has applauded the initiative taken by PWD (R&B) Department regarding the placement of engineers against the available vacant posts.
The PWD (R&B) and Mechanical Engineering in a placement order elevated almost 14 Executive Engineer, 45 AEE’s and 4 Assistant Engineer’s to fulfill the field demand in present Covid times .
JKMEGA President, Er Firdous Ahad Bhat in a statement issued here, welcomed the decision and expressed hope that the engineering community will leave no stone unturned in serving the citizens of J&K especially in these tough times of Covid-19.
Further, the president of the association thanked the Hon’ble LG Mr. Monaj Sinha, Advisor to the LG Mr. Rajiv Rai Batnagar, Principal Secretary PWD (R&B) Mr. Shalindera Kumar, Additional Secretary PWD HRM Mr. Shahid Mehmood.
The statement further reads that the president of the association appealed that recent committees formed for the re-organization of engineering wings should utilize the mechanical engineers to their full capacity as per present demand in department of Jal Shakti, Hospital services, Smart City projects, Disaster management and much more.
The statement further concluded by the Jammu and Kashmir Mechanical Engineering Graduates Association president thanking the Principal Secretary R&B, Mr. Shalindera Kumar for the decisions that have been initiated for the engineering community and more importantly for public welfare.
