A Week long JK Police sports festival was on Monday organised by District Police Ganderbal at Sainik School Manasbal.
The festival was inaugurated by DIG Central Kashmir Gh Hassan Bhat, DC Ganderbal, SSP Ganderbal, besides other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
DIG Central Kashmir, lauded the role of J&K Police in organizing such types of sports activities that provide platform to the youth to excel in various sports activities.
Speaking on the occasion SSP Ganderbal Fayaz Ahmad Lone thanked the participants and requested them to join hands with police in order to create peaceful atmosphere in the district. “The main aim to organize such programs is to provide a platform to the talented youth to advocate sports curriculum in the district and to outreach the areas where avenues are not available but talent is visible,” he said.
During the sports event, around 400 boys and girls from different schools will take part in various games and sports activities viz football,Volley ball,kho kho, kabadi, Martial Arts- Wushu,Tug of War,Taekwondo other athletic events.
