While addressing policemen at Police Training School Manigam in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district Wednesday, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister advised police not to attack the families of the militants.
“Police should not attack the militant’s families as militants are attacking the policemen’s families,” Mehbooba advised and added “Police should maintain difference.”
Maintaining that police was facing many challenges, the chief minister asked the cops to “ensure surrender of local militants”.
Houses of several militants were ransacked and family members allegedly thrashed by forces during past week in southern parts of Kashmir.
