Man involved in hit and run case sentenced to 2 years imprisonment

Judicial Magistrate Pattan on Wednesday convicted a man involved in the hit and run case.

After hearing Prosecuting Officer Najm-u-Nissa, JM convicted a person identified as Fareed Ahmad Khan son of Habibullah Khan a resident of Manzgam, Boniyar Baramulla. He was found involved in causing the death of a person Arshid Ahmad Sheikh son of Ghulam Hassan a resident of Gundbal Andergam, Pattan in rash and negligent driving. He has been sentenced to undergo imprisonment for a period of two years and a fine of Rs 5000 has also been imposed on him for the commission of offence punishable under section 304-A/RPC.
