Drug De-addiction Awareness campaign was Saturday held in Islamabad by Department of youth services And Supports.
Hundreds of students started took out a rally from Wazirbagh towards Lal-Chowk Islamabad, holding banners denouncing growing drug menace menace in Kashmir.
Additional District Development Commissioner Islamabad, Mohammad Younis, while speaking on the event, requested people to come forward to get rid of drug menace.
“We have put drug de-addiction centers in Khanabal Police Lines and in five sub district hospitals. Anyone can approach these centers and their identity will be held anonymous,” he said.
The menace of drug exercise is on rampant rise particularly in the youth.
“We are trying to aware the youth populace to stay away from drugs and those who have felt prey they are informed that there is still hope to move forward without drugs,” said District Officer Youth Services and Supports Islamabad, Noor ul Haq.
